With the Class of 2022’s time in Ithaca quickly coming to a close, Cornell has released another revision to its mask policy. Guests and students will now be required, at all times, to wear “high-quality” masks when indoors. These changes have not yet been applied to Cornell’s general COVID website, which still requires masking in on buses and recommends masking indoors.
Despite a general decline in COVID cases on campus and in Ithaca since the departure of most students last week, Cornell has, at least temporarily, reinstated the mask mandate. Both RPCC and East Hill Plaza will be distributing antigen test kits for Cornell students through the weekend.
The University has not explained consequences for noncompliance with the new policies, nor have they suggested if policy changes are coming to the general COVID policy for the Summer or Fall.
The Commencement Ceremonies will be held outside, weather permitting, on Saturday morning and afternoon.
