MetaEzra beat me to this one, but in case you haven’t heard, Cornell produced the 3rd most Teach For America Corps members among the graduating class of 2010. With 60 graduating seniors entering the program, Cornell trailed only behind UT Austin (80) and Michigan (79) in the rankings. It is obvious, though, that the number of Corps members a school produces is directly related to the size of the school– UMich has 26,000 undergrads and UT Austin has 38,000– so here’s a quick rundown of how the Ivies did compared to undergraduate size.
So unfortunately Cornell’s stats aren’t as impressive when school size is taken into account, but then again we don’t have figures on how many students from each school actually applied to the program.
