The Cornell Review, along with the Class Councils, will present the Presidential Debate of the Student Assembly campaign season. The event will be held today, February 27, at 5:00pm in Goldwin Smith Hall, Kaufmann Auditorium (G64).
Candidates Stephen Breedon and Ulysses Smith will be engaging in a spirited debate regarding the issues important to you. Unlike other debates in the campaign season, both the candidates will have the unique opportunity to respond to audience’s questions and their opponents’ remarks.
The event will begin with an introduction by the members of the Cornell Class Councils. Alfonse Muglia and Noah Kantro, Editors-in-Chief of The Cornell Review will serve as moderators for the debate. Several questions will be chosen from the audience. Students can suggest questions today via Twitter #SADebate or email to cornellreview@cornell.edu.
Possible topics for discussion include campus safety, undergraduate involvement in student government and diversity. The Campus Liberty Project’s petition against the proposed mandatory Social Justice Requirement will also feature high on the agenda.
The SA elections shall take place from March, 4 to 8.
