While surfing through the Cornell Daily Sun‘s website, I came across an article that presented: 1) an interesting take on Proposition 8, and 2) a seemingly conservative defense of traditional, Christian views. Coming from the usually-left-of-center Sun, I found this quite refreshing. Not only did the article refute some claims surrounding Proposition 8, but went so far as to point out the egregious liberal slant present in media such as Newsweek and the Washington Post.
Is it possible that the re-emerging Review could be encouraging closet conservatives to step out?? (I might add that the article has been on the FRONT page of their website for almost four days now).
This story is the epitome of all the wrong done in the wake of the marriage battle by the opposition. The media should have supported this woman, instead, the L.A. Times listed her on their website as a p8 supporter even though her contribution was so little.
Private donations are an expression of free speech, and as a major force in print media, the L.A. Times should have presented that facet of the issue first and foremost. Instead, the Times ignored that and looked the other way while gay activists went to war with the information provided by their Times’ own website. The blogs and other so-called “Pajama Media” put the big dogs to shame on this one.
At least they’ve come out with a sympathetic interview of her…what, only a month and a half late?
