Yes, it’s another slow summer news day, but I thought Cornellians might be interested to hear that Ithaca residents– and students taking summer classes– suffered through felt the distant effects of a 5.5 magnitude earthquake yesterday afternoon. Everyone seems to be fine, though. Here’s one account from the scene:
I was at work and didn’t feel anything. People told me later and, thinking back, I might have felt something, but it may have also been a bus outside.
That’s from Rob Morrissey ’12.
kaboom!
Insightful analysis from the Review’s reporter in the field. I look forward to more reports from Rob.
this is serious, breaking news.
this is a non-story. I felt a brief shaking for about 3 seconds, and then it was done. I actually thought someone was trying shaking my desk instead.
I feel like I failed to deliver on the “humor” dimension of this post.
