In an email to The Review, the Office of the Dean of Faculty has confirmed that final reports from Working Groups S and F are not yet ready for presentation and have been removed from the agenda for today’s meeting. They will likely be on the agenda for the Faculty Senate meeting to be scheduled for April 14, 3:30-5pm and made available to the public prior to that meeting. The Dean of Faculty’s Office also confirmed that debate on Working Group C’s final report will also be postponed until the April 14th Faculty Senate meeting. The previously scheduled vote on the proposed center will not take place this week.
As previously reported by The Review, the Faculty Senate has begun to hear proposals from the three working groups part of the Senate’s “Anti-Racism Initiative.” At the last meeting, the Faculty Senate heard a proposal for the “Center for Antiracist, Just, and Equitable Futures,” created by Working Group C of the Anti-Racism Initiative.
