7 thoughts on “Growing Opposition to Obamacare

  1. Rasmussen has had opposition to the health care plan at 50% or more for like 4 months now.

  2. Good point, Bonica, but a lot of people think that Rasmussen is biased, and Gallup is more universally accepted as an unbiased polling service.

  3. This is very true, although recently Rasmussen has been cited as being more accurate, especially in terms of elections. However, Gallup and Rasmussen in the end basically come to the same result; sometimes, Rasmussen gets there first, as appears to be the case here.

  4. In fact (sorry to double post), the Rasmussen numbers are very similar; the most recent poll has it 44% favoring to 52% opposing.

  5. Also, keep in mind the wording that was used in this poll: “healthcare reform bill similar to the one proposed by President Obama”. Pres. Obama is still very popular as an individual, as opposed to Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid (or most of Congress). To have the bill have so little support with his name on the label is pretty astounding.

  6. Very good point Konstantin, if I may chime in. Subtleties in wording and presentation undoubtedly contribute to how the participant receives and processes the question.
