USA Today published its annual preseason NCAA Men’s Hockey rankings yesterday, with Cornell falling into the 19th spot. See the complete rankings here. The University of Miami garnered the top spot, followed by Notre Dame and North Dakota. Yale was the only Ivy League team to crack the top 15.
In the lady’s rankings, published today, Cornell earned the preseason ranking of #2 after finishing the 2010-2011 season with an astonishing record of 31-3-1. Defending-champion Wisconsin was the clear favorite, earning all 19 of the first place votes from the USA Today writers.
