On November 6th, Michael Knowles will speak at Cornell on “The Mirage of Free Speech” in Warren B25 at 6:00 pm.
Michael is a leading voice for conservatism in the United States and hosts the popular broadcasts “The Michael Knowles Show” of the Daily Wire, PragerU’s “Book Club,” and “The Verdict” podcast with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). Additionally, he has been a guest host on the Rush Limbaugh Show, The Tucker Carlson Show, The Andrew Klaven Show, CPAC, and EWTN.
Knowles attended Yale University where he received a B.A. in History and Italian and has spoken at many colleges across the country. He is also famous for his bestselling books, “Reasons to Vote for Democrats” which was acclaimed by President Trump as “a great book for your reading enjoyment” and “Speechless: Controlling Words, Controlling Minds” a national bestseller.
Knowles’s event comes in the wake of a tumultuous couple of weeks at Cornell, including increased tensions on campus due to the Israel-Hamas war and the detention of a Cornell student who made antisemitic threats to the campus Jewish community. He also comes during the university’s “Year of Free Expression.” Earlier this year, university president Martha Pollack called freedom of expression “essential to our academic mission of discovering and disseminating new knowledge and educating the next generation of global citizens.”
The event will be hosted by the Cornell Republicans. Online tickets are only available for Cornell community members. Admission is free of charge.
