The Cornell Review has now confirmed that hip-hop artist KiD CuDi will indeed be coming to perform at Cornell this Fall on November 6th at 7PM.
The Review first reported late last night that the popular rapper’s MySpace page had him scheduled for a concert in Barton Hall on November 6th at 8:00 PM. While this specific time has not been listed by Cornell Concert Commission or Barton Hall’s site, CuDi will in fact be appearing on campus for a performance in the coming months. Whether or not he will be performing solo (dolo) or with other artists is not yet known.
The announcement comes a bit later than previous ones, as there was initially only a verbal contract between KuDi and the school. Due to the instability of such contracts, CuDi’s was not initially made public. Similar circumstances with B.o.B and Billy Joel lead to disappointed students when the contracts fell through. Cornell Concert Commission has confirmed, however, that there will be an official announcement on Thursday.
Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, better known as ‘KiD CuDi,’ first gained mainstream attention with the release of his debut album Man on the Moon and mixtape A Kid Named Cudi. CuDi, an immensely popular artist among Cornellians, is sure to attract a big group of students. Hopefully he won’t contribute to the school’s history of lame performances from artists like the P-Cat dolls, Asher-plain as chicken-bRoth, and Drake.
What can we expect from a KiD CuDi concert?
1) Students on shrooms.
2) CuDi on shrooms.
3) Martians.
4) Sky Might Fall? Let’s hope not.
We can only speculate. If indeed the concert is held on the 6th of November – a Saturday – as CuDi’s site indicates, however, one thing’s for sure: Cornellians will be partying Day ‘n’ Night.
