UPDATE: Much-anticipated KiD CuDi concert took a disappointing turn today as Cornell Concert Commission announced that LMFAO won’t be opening for CuDi as originally announced. Word is that tickets are still selling very fast though, so get ’em while you can. Regardless, the first batch of tickets sold out this afternoon at 2:50 PM, only hours after going on sale earlier this morning. However, the last fifth of the available tickets, held on reserve, will go on sale to the general public again this Saturday at 9 AM.
“This is the fastest sellout of tickets we’ve seen in recent history other than a CUPB event where Stephen Colbert spoke,” a source familiar with the Concert Commission told The Review. “These tickets have sold incredibly fast and will do so again on Saturday.” With the general public in on the game this weekend, the remaining tickets are expected to go just as fast as they did this morning.
Also, here’s the notice on LMFAO:
UPDATE: Though LMFAO was confirmed to appear at this show as ‘Special Guest,’ Cornell Concert Commission received an email late Tuesday indicating they were no longer interested in performing. CCC is currently working to fill the spot with an artist to be announced at a later date. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
