On Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at 5 p.m. Robert C Platt ‘73 will speak in Room 182 of Myron Taylor Hall on “The State of Free Speech at Cornell.” Platt will address the recent temporary policies limiting protests and demonstrations. He will also cover the protection of free expression and academic freedom.
Platt has served on the Cornell Board of Trustees and has remained involved in campus free speech issues since his time as an undergraduate.
Platt’s talk is co-sponsored by the Program on Freedom and Free Societies, the Cornell Chapter of the Heterodox Academy, the Cornell College Republicans and the Cornell Review.
